WHO
Fly Me to the Moon, a classic jazz standard, features Curtis singing lead and playing piano. He is accompanied by Andrew Foreman on upright bass, Aaron Scherbing on electric guitar, and Stefan Brinkley on drums. This song is a LIVE performance from Studio 16 Vocal Company's Spring Concert this past May.
Formerly an instructor Walker West Music Academy in St. Paul, now Studio 16 Vocal Company founder CURTIS HUNT, has been providing quality instruction and artistry for the past decade. Although classically trained in voice and piano, Curtis is among the few musicians who have truly bridged various popular stylistic genres (like Jazz, RB, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Rock, and Acoustic) authentically with class and integrity.
Curtis is a resident in the East Side neighborhood of St. Paul. He is a husband of his amazing wife, Morlie, and father of his 3 incredible boys, Ethan, Nathaniel, and Gabriel. Curtis' heart is to share his artistic gifts, serve through leadership and development, and cultivate faith and artistry.
In 2000, Curtis received his Bachelor’s of Music in Applied Voice and Piano from North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. In 2005, he received his Masters in Organizational Development and Leadership from Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, KS. For the past decade, Curtis has been serving the non-profit sector, the faith community, corporate and private events, and cultivating artistry through his unique dual strengths in administration and artistry.
Studio 16 Vocal Company was born as an avenue for Curtis to expand his artistic vision and leadership skills into entrepreneurship. And currently aside from running and operating Studio 16 Vocal Company, Curtis also provides leadership and artistic development for students at Bethel University.
In addition to being an all-around great guy, Curtis is a vocalist, pianist, song-writer, arranger, worship-leader, artistic director and specializes in working in youth development.
